Your function

As Legal Counsel, you will be involved in the various activities of our client with focus on their corporate and M&A activities. 
Your primary tasks will consist of: 

  • Working on international acquisitions and managing the transaction processes in all target countries, including participation in negotiations of agreements and coordination of internal and external consultants. 

  • Structuring international investments and investment activities. 

  • Supervising due diligence processes (legal, tax, financial, technical, environmental, etc.)

Your profile

  • Master's law degree obtained in Belgium; 

  • From 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as a Corporate and M&A lawyer or as an in-house Legal Counsel specialising in Corporate and M&A; 

  • Experience in preparing acquisition files; 

  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch or French with a good knowledge of English. Good knowledge of French or Dutch (respectively), or German is an advantage; 

  • Deep understanding of the financial parameters of investment and M&A transactions; 

  • Proactive, pragmatic and problem-solving attitude; 

  • Flexibility and resilience to stress.

Our client is a prominent Belgian holding with headquarters in Brussels. A combination of independence and entrepreneurial spirit enables our client to quickly identify and seize opportunities and thus continuously work on important internal and external growth opportunities.  
In order to support and strengthen its growth our client is currently looking for a Legal Counsel with 5 to 10 years of experience in Corporate and M&A.
