Legal Counsel Real Estate
Your function
As a member of the legal team of our client, you will work on transactional and regulatory aspects of real estate, with the focus on following responsibilities:

drafting and review of various types of construction and real estate relate agreements (commercial leases, real estate constructions, purchase and sale agreements, building contracts, property rights, financing agreements, etc);

legal assistance in contract negotiations;

follow-up and management of existing contracts and assistance to issues arising during the development process;

legal assistance in the acquisition process: legal due diligence and review/drafting of transaction documents, point of contact for external counsels and the follow op real estate litigations;
-
pro-active follow-up and legal guidance of the ongoing real estate projects;
-
management and follow-up of legal disputes e.g. with buyers, contractors, etc.;

coordination with external lawyers and advisors.
Your profile

Master's law degree obtained in Belgium;
-
From 8 to 10 years of relevant experience as a Real Estate lawyer or as an in-house Legal Counsel;

Excellent knowledge of Dutch or French with a good knowledge of English. Knowledge of other European languages is an asset;

Pragmatic, hands-on and result-driven attitude;
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and can work in a demanding and fast-moving environment;

Capability and will to defend the company's best interest;

Flexibility and efficiency.
